1979 BMW M1

BMW's first mid-engined supercar

The BMW M1 is a sports car, produced by the German automaker from 1978 to 1981. It was the company’s first mid-engined supercar and was designed to compete in the Group 5 racing category. The M1 was powered by a 3.5-liter inline-six engine that produced 277 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. It was paired with a five-speed manual transmission that sent power to the rear wheels. The car’s unique design, which featured a low, wedge-shaped body and pop-up headlights, was created by Italian design house Giugiaro.

This example is one of just 453 units produced, making it one of the rarest BMW models ever made. Its unique combination of performance, style, and rarity have made it highly sought after by car enthusiasts and collectors. There are just under 19,000km on the odometer.
